Clutching a Win for Junior Varsity

Cy Ridge junior varsity went toe to toe with Spring Woods’ junior varsity team and totally crushed and dismantled them 43-0, recording junior varsity’s biggest win of the season so far. This win put a smile on the faces of parents that came out to watch the homecoming match.
“This is a must-win game for us, especially because it’s our homecoming week. The team walked onto the pitch with a calm, relaxed and unified mindset which was to go to spring woods and beat them in their own backward, nothing. A team with a unified mindset is bad news for any team that they’re about to play,” sophomore Joshua Clements said.
In the first seven plays of the first quarter, the Rams defense was tested with quick snap exchanges; shifty movement by the offense, but that momentum was quickly quenched when the Wildcats were brought down for a safety by Ram’s outside backer junior Femi Ajayi. After that, the momentum shifted to the Rams and stayed there for the rest of the matchup. Points quickly followed as Ajayi put his name on the board again, but this time it was a strip for six then the offense ran the ball into the end zone three times followed by three interceptions by the defense. This capped off a very convincing win by the Rams junior varsity team.
