Freshman Anticipation

Game days of hard work and dedication for the Cy Ridge freshman football team pass by quickly. Last week they played against Jersey Village, the 17-year-old school “rival”. This game was one of the most anticipated games of the season. Throughout the week, the players prepared for the most anticipated game of the season.

Freshman quarterback Jacob Lozano led the Rams offense that night. “We have been working hard all week, we haven’t given up,” said Lozano. Also stating that they have been working to improve their offensive linemen for this game.

Meeting the coach’s expectations is hard. Defensive end and punter freshman Julian Gonzalez admits that it is a lot of work. He’d much rather focus 100% of his attention on his defensive end position to help the team.

All the hard work and dedication paid off for the freshmen team. Winning 28-6.
