This year’s final junior varsity tennis results are 14-5, with Coach Morgan  Grinstead as the new coach. Grinstead is pleased with the girl’s team and wants the girls to continue working hard. The coaches and players have been wonderful and they are pleased with it.

“I feel very proud of my players, but I feel like there’s always room for improvement,” Grinstead said.

Sophomore Katie Luong has played tennis for one year, and during the time she has been playing, she has become very informed about the sport and hopes to continue playing. Loung also has a marvelous score with beating both Springs and Ranch.

“I enjoy tennis a lot, it’s one of my favorite sports, it takes a lot of time and dedication,” Luong said.

Sophomore Trinity Nguyen has played tennis for the past two years while feeling very confident with last year for herself she feels it that she’s improving this year more than last year, which is true with her crushing three matches won against Creek, Springs, and Ranch.

“Tennis takes a lot of time and dedication to learn how to play and even more if you wanna be good,” Nguyen said.

Even in the future when the tennis team is paying bills and living on their own, they still wanna do everything they are doing now with Nguyen loves the sport so much that she has decided to make a career out of it in the future.

“When I grow up I wanna become a famous tennis player, I became very addicted to the sport in such a short time,” Nguyen said.

Nguyen has an impressive score with the tennis team this year so far, like defeating Creek, Springs, and Ranch. It’s also helping her self-confidence while she’s on the court.

“I never really saw myself improving over the years and I don’t wanna say my scores from last year but this year I beat three schools, that’s kinda impressive to me, I’m glad I’m doing better this year than my other years,” Nguyen said.
