The dazzlers aren’t about dancing all the time, sometimes it can also be about the bonds you can make and connect with the girls around you. The sisterhood of the dazzlers is something to share, They not only help each other out when they don’t understand some of the dance moves but when they get off the stage and get a chance to connect with each other, It’s truly a beautiful thing.

Junior Rose Franciosi has been in the Dazzlers for 2 years and says that the team is not just about dancing but getting along with the girls around you.

“It’s a great sisterhood bond being around these girls,” Franciosi said. “I wouldn’t trade them for the world, it overall just enhances my life. I never knew being on a team and having a connection with them would change me as a person.”

Coach Talia Dudley started off as the assistant dance coach but transitioned to head coach at the start of this school year. Even for Dudley, it can be quite a journey working with them.

“It’s important for me to teach these girls about dancing because just to see some of their excitement when they step out on that floor, and I wanna share my talent with some of these girls,” Dudley said.

Not only the coach has expectations of being apart of this team, the Dazzlers hold each other to high expectations. Francisoi says you have to be both mentally and psychically prepared to dance each day.

“You have to have a good mindset that you’re gonna do great. I can’t go out there and say I’m just gonna wing it, and I can’t go out there tired, my coach would probably yell at me till I’m 60,” Franciosi said.

Sophomore Madison Ochoa is she wants to try out for the dazzlers of fall 2017.

“A lot of the girls currently on the Dazzlers have either motivation or just because they like to dance, but me I wanna join because I wanna feel that rush they get,” Ochoa said.

Some of the girls on the team look up to famous dancers like Beyonce but Franciosi looks closer to home.

“I look up to the other girls on my team; I believe looking up to girls around my age who have the same interest and the same goal will help me get a good mindset. I can’t look up to famous people because I’m not there yet, that famous person and I might share the same goal but they’re a higher level than me,” Franciosi said.

The girls are not the only one who has been in a dancing club since they were little, Dudley also has a lot of years of dancing in her shoes.

“I was at a dance club all my high school years and for college I danced at A&M and Lone star, I used to also play soccer and volleyball, but when I would sit on the sidelines I would start dancing and my mom would have to tell me to stop acting like a fool, it was kinda hilarious,” Dudley said.

Ochoa anticipates the day she can become a Dazzler, but as of now, makes dancing her daily thing.

“I have yet to actually dance in public and not in my room playing Beyonce, but when I dance in my room I guess you could say I feel the excitement through my body,” Ochoa said.
