Myriq “Kenny” Freeman and Kassidy Shuaib competed in the Region III-6A Track and Field Meet, on April 28-29 at Challenger Columbia Stadium in Webster, Texas.

Freeman placed 3rd in the 800 meter dash at Regional with a time of 1:54.72. Shuaib took 7th in the 100m hurdles.

The week before at Area, Freeman came in at first place in both the 800m and 400m dash, with the times of 47.84 in the 400m and 1:56.00 in the 800m run. Shuaib came in fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.24.

The men’s 4x200m relay of Jailon Santee, Justin Claybon, Kaylon Horton and Kobe House placed fourth at Area with a time of 1:31.571.

The top four contenders from Area advance to Regional competition. The top two from Regional advance to State.
