Most would agree that 2016 was a very interesting year that pretty much put everyone’s life to the test, i.e. 2016 was a horrid year of finals, self revelations, confusion, messy presidential debates, the death of icons and so so many other things. But, one thing we can agree on is that whether 2016 for you was about difficult moments or new beginnings, music thrived to speak the words we wish we could say; even if we didn’t know it at the time until that epic beat drop or the vocals of our favorite musicians blared through our speakers. Nonetheless through all the amazing songs, some tracks seemed to speak more to our complicated souls than others – breaking through the charts of Billboard and RollingStone, to come on top time and time again.
