Esthela Trevino took 3rd in the state wrestling tournament at The CFISD Berry Center on February 24-25, 2017.
How did you first get into wrestling?
“My dad wrestled, so he always kind of pushed it as something he wanted us to do. Then my older sister joined and she loved it. So I did the same.”
How long have you been participating in wrestling?
“Since my freshman year. Three years.”
What do you enjoy most out of wrestling?
“Winning, getting that rush before you step on the mat and giving it everything I have to be on top.”
How did receiving third in state make you feel?
“It was the best feeling, I have had yet. To finally prove to myself than I AM as great as everyone is telling me. Now I have to give it my all to win it all next year like I know I can.”
