Football Team Make’s School History
The overall hardworking season comes to an end after the loss from Cinco Ranch

The Mighty Ram varsity football team’s season has come to an end after the devastating loss during the playoff game against Cinco Ranch on Saturday, December 3 at TDECU, with a score of 17-34. The Rams not only excelled in this season, but they also have made school history. In the season of 2007-2008, the Rams went to the playoffs but lost in the 3rd round that year. This year the boys advanced all the way to the Area Regional Finals.
There was a lot of emotions, after the loss of Cinco Ranch. The Rams have improved and bonded together more through the years. Through the eyes of Senior Erielle Loa, who filmed the players through practice and games for three years knows that they have grown a lot. “The season overall, they improved a lot. They are a whole different team. Now they seem more together and became more bonded with each other, like a family, Like brothers.” Erielle said.
At the end of the Cinco Ranch game, the team and fans alike were quite emotional about the season’s end. Football players were crying and families that came to watch their kids play supported them and tried to cheer them up. “It was a tough lost, we all loved each other and supported each other at the end,” senior football player Chavous Gwyn said.
The team supported each other after the lost and not only did the team supported each other but the fans and their families that came to watch them play. Senior Football player Djuan Matthew, one of the captains of the team, inspired his teammates throughout the season to work hard and push them to complete their task.“It was a great season, even though we lost and we fought hard and grinded all season,” Matthew said. “I was expecting a win but sometimes things don’t go your way, and I still love my brothers.”.
Throughout the playoffs, the Rams defeated Westside on Friday, November 11, at Pridgeon. The score was 30-13 and they also defeated Katy Taylor at Waller Stadium on Friday, November 11, the score was 55-28, and the Rams also defeated Clear Brook on Saturday, November 26 at NRG Stadium.
