Cyber Monday is the first Monday after Thanksgiving Day, many retailers offer deals that can only be accessed through their online store. This is about the equivalent to a Black Friday sale, but online instead.

The first Cyber Monday took place in November 2005 but has quickly increased in popularity among many retailers. This year’s Cyber Monday will begin on Nov. 28.

During this day, online shoppers like to stack up on all types of presents for themselves, their relatives and friends at a fraction of the cost. One can expect to find sales online as early as 12:01 a.m. according to Tom’s Guide, a tech review website. Although some online stores will begin their sales as early as the first minute of the day, many times sales will begin around 6 a.m. and last throughout the day. Another way these online stores present their sales is by having an hourly sale; certain items have specific times that they will be on sale.

Don’t be discouraged if you miss out on Black Friday sales on Nov. 25. Cyber Monday will offer many great deals as well throughout this day.
