Mockingjay: Part 2 Movie Review
November 20, 2015
After four years The Hunger Games trilogy has officially come to an end. The hit blockbuster that has gained millions of fans all over the world has been highly criticized with a rating of 70% fresh and 65 % rotten giving it an average rating of 6.5 out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes since the movie came out.
Finalizing the trilogy, Mockingjay Part 2 was action packed, eye opening and thrilling as Katniss Everdeen takes over the Capitol in the midst of a full thronged war as a means to stop the annual Hunger Games once and for all. In doing so, Katniss and her team rush through the Capitol as it is designed as an arena for the Hunger Games that were supposed to be taking place. Boundaries are tested and the truth is challenged as efforts to keep the face of the revolution alive concludes in a deadlier fate for the whole team. Power is the complete downfall of many faces, even those victimized by it. In saying so Mockingjay Part 2 inevitably lives up to its expectations, nonetheless disappointing for the readers on the events that were knowingly prolonged to happen from the start.
In Mockingjay Part 2 all the characters have fully matured and developed, and the relationship between each is heartfelt and believable delivering a hard blow towards the end in remembrance for the fallen ones. Film quality was good if not the best out of all the movies during all the fighting scenes. Mockingjay Part 2 is sure to deliver and excite in all aspects no matter what one is in the mood to see.
Fast seem the years that went by in making the works of the Hunger Games. The beloved adaption won the hearts of millions wanting to be just like Katniss Everdeen and tributes. The special connection was our easiest hello and our hardest goodbye. If The Hunger Games has ever made anything clear is that, “May the odds be ever in your favor.”
