The time has come for late night studying – Advanced Placement (AP) testing runs from May 8-15, 2015. If school and after school activities are cutting down on prep time, here are five tips that will help you study for your AP exams.

). Run to a Half Prices Books or Barnes & Nobles and buy an AP study guide. Make sure to get the right subject. Split the book into sections from topics that you know and topics that you struggle with. Be sure to spend a little more time studying the sections you struggle with.

). Take notes in the classroom. Use legible handwriting so you can read the important facts later. If the teacher repeats the same subject or says something multiple time, underline or put a star next to it – it is going to come back on a test.

). Test reviews. When your teachers gives you a study guide before a unit test, save the papers to study later. If the topics were so import that you had test on them, you should study even more because they should show up on your on the AP test.

). Study groups. Get a ton of friends together and have a small study party. Share and compare your notes, they might know something you could have missed. Holding a study group can make studying fun because you get to hang out with friends and learn new things.

). Stay after school. Sometimes the teachers in their subject wings will hold a study week to give students a chance to work with the teacher and to ask any last questions. In class, some teachers will give a pre-AP test to see how you would do and prepare you to take the real deal.
