Cypress Ridge receiver named to Semper Fi All-American Bowl roster

Representatives from the United States Marine Corps visited the Cypress Ridge High School pep rally on Oct. 17 to present senior football player Kemah Siverand with a Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl jersey.

Siverand, who has committed to play collegiate football for Texas A&M University, has been invited to compete in the 4th annual All-American Bowl, scheduled for Jan. 4, 2015 at 8 p.m. at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.

Siverand, a 6-foot, 185-pound receiver, is among 44 players named to the 2015 West team roster.

“It was a great moment to be recognized for my accomplishments over the time I’ve been here at Cypress Ridge. It was a huge,” Siverand said. “I’m looking forward to the game and playing against some of the best talent in the country. On the next level, everybody’s good, so I will get to experience that early on.”

Siverand has 20 receptions for 317 yards and two touchdowns through six games this season.
