Japanese subscription boxes have become a huge trend that you can not help but be tempted to buy one. There was a period of time that no one really knew what these subscription boxes where all about, but ever since the trending hashtag and the immense amount of youtube videos, they have become the biggest trend of 2015, especially because of the unique candy flavors that arrive every month inside every box.

Out of all the subscription boxes available, Oyatsu box is one of the most unique. Ranging from $7 to $25, each box is sent to your home from Japan on a monthly basis. From the Oyatsu character to the Gachapon (capsule toys) that come inside, Oyatsu boxes have become a great way to get Japanese DIY candy. Oyatsu boxes are full with DIY candy kits and even curry chips. But what makes the candy so authentic is where it comes from—Japan.

Japan was famous for Dagashi, or in simple terms, cheap candy. Ranging from 10 to 100 Yen, Japanese children loved to go out and buy inexpensive candies. Having such cheap food and, at times, time consuming candy kits, made it ideal for children to go buy and play with. Of course, since it was so popular in Japan, you could imagine how much everyone else would love to get there hands on Japanese candy.

Dagashi or Gachapon, whatever came inside a subscription box would amaze any Oyatsu Box subscriber. Just ask heycrissa, a Let’s Play YouTuber and Oyatsu box subscriber. The list goes on and on when it comes to Japanese subscription boxes and the amount of YouTuber’s who review them, but one thing is certain, Japanese candy is a great trend for 2015.
