All yearbooks are sold out! Online sales starting as early as August for 80 dollars a book raising to 90 by the end of the sale. The yearbook staff consisting of Daniela Benitez Marlasca (12), Diego Hernandez Zelaya (11), Karla Rodriguez (11), Angel Wilson (12), Nathalia Maqueira Arias (12), Ashley Rostro Dominguez (11), Danae Munoz (12) and Abril Lucero (10) distributed books on May 1st in front of the auditorium during 6th and 7th period.
“I felt a sense of pride, as we had spent months striving for this final result, I felt that everything we had done was not in vain, and that the other students would love it just as much as we did,” Munoz said.

To prepare, there was a system in place, the books were checked for faults or misprints and then the proper color passes were distributed to second period teachers for students’ proper pick up. Those with personalizations receiving a light blue pass and those without personalizations receiving a teal pass, the correct color slip attached to signify which period to come down.
“One challenge was staying organized and managing the large number of students. It was also a bit stressful making sure everyone got the correct yearbook quickly,” Benitez said.

On the day of distribution, ID’s and passes were required for pick up based on last name. Newspaper’s activities manager Yoanna Ochoa (12) helped out directing lines and getting students in order along with Journalism 1 students.
Students received all yearbooks and personalizations, half distributed during 6th period and half during 7th period.

The yearbook staff had worked together cohesively the whole year to create the book and in the end the product was proof of months of hard work.
“I wish people understood the sheer volume of work that goes into every single page,” Zelaya said. “It isn’t just about taking photos; it’s about curation, layout design, and ensuring every student’s story is represented fairly while meeting strict publishing deadlines.”
